Student Debt Rebellion (“Student Debt Rebellion,” “SDR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a United States–based nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Student Debt Rebellion exists to help reduce the burden of student loan debt through transparent, community-powered financial assistance programs, public accountability, and education.
SDR is mission-driven and operated in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.

· Committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical fundraising
· Designed to operate structured, prize-based financial assistance programs
Student Debt Rebellion is not:
· A lender, bank, or financial institution
· A debt consolidation or refinancing service
· A financial advisory service
· A guarantee of debt forgiveness or financial assistance

International Donations:
Student Debt Rebellion welcomes international supporters; however, donations from outside the United States are not tax-deductible in the donor’s home country, and SDR cannot issue foreign tax receipts.
5. Prize-Based Financial Assistance Programs (Sweepstakes)
Student Debt Rebellion provides financial assistance through prize-based programs.
For each drawing, one (1) selected recipient will receive a payment of $500 made directly toward their eligible student loan balance.
In addition, Student Debt Rebellion may provide an additional cash payment (estimated at approximately $150) intended to assist with potential tax obligations associated with the award.
The total approximate retail value (ARV) of the award is $650.
Payments toward student loans will be made directly to the loan servicer or lender on behalf of the recipient. Any additional cash payment, if provided, will be issued directly to the recipient.
6. No Purchase or Donation Necessary
NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR DONATION OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE OR WIN. A PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR DONATION WILL NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF RECEIVING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OR PRIZES.
7. Eligibility & Financial Hardship
Participation is limited to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older unless otherwise stated.
Eligibility. Student Debt Rebellion (“SDR”) provides charitable assistance intended to support individuals experiencing financial hardship related to student loan debt. Eligibility to receive assistance is based on participant self-attestation of financial hardship.
Financial Hardship. For purposes of this program, financial hardship is self-determined by the participant. Financial hardship may include, but is not limited to, difficulty making student loan payments, balancing loan obligations with living expenses, or experiencing financial stress or limitation due to student loan debt.
No Documentation Required. SDR does not require documentation or proof of financial hardship to enter or participate.
Good-Faith Participation. By entering, participants affirm that the information provided is accurate to the best of their knowledge and provided in good faith.
Final Eligibility Determination. SDR reserves the right to determine final eligibility prior to the distribution of charitable assistance and to disqualify entries determined to be submitted in bad faith.
8. Winner Selection & Odds
Recipients are selected through random drawings or other disclosed selection methods. Odds depend on the number of eligible participants.
Potential winners will be notified using the contact information provided at entry and must respond within seven (7) calendar days of initial notification to confirm eligibility and intent to accept the award. Failure to respond within this timeframe may result in forfeiture of the award and selection of an alternate entrant.
Once initial contact is established, the potential winner will be required to provide all necessary documentation, including a completed and signed IRS Form W-9 and student loan verification materials, within a reasonable timeframe as determined by Student Debt Rebellion.
If a selected entrant declines the award, fails to provide required documentation, is deemed ineligible (including not having qualifying student loan debt), or otherwise fails to comply with these requirements, the award will be forfeited and an alternate entrant may be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries.
9. No Guarantee of Benefit
Participation does not guarantee receipt of financial assistance, prizes, or student loan debt reduction.
10. Tax Documentation Requirement
Winners must provide a completed and signed IRS Form W-9 before any award payment can be issued.
Awards provided through Student Debt Rebellion are considered taxable income under U.S. federal law. The Sponsor intends to provide an additional amount to assist with potential tax obligations; however, this amount may not fully cover all tax liabilities.
The winner remains solely responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes associated with the award.
Student Debt Rebellion will report prize amounts to the appropriate tax authorities as required by law. All information provided will be handled securely and used only for required reporting and compliance.
11. Transparency Commitment
Student Debt Rebellion commits to publishing participation and financial metrics publicly, including funds raised, funds distributed, and administrative costs.
12. Void Where Prohibited
Participation is void where prohibited by law.
13. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated as Student Debt Rebellion evolves. Any changes will be posted publicly, and continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
